Drum Set Instruction for All

“Practice makes permanent, but by itself, it doesn’t make a unique musical voice. HOW to practice is often more important than WHAT to practice.”

Pro Drum Class started as a conversation between two educators and soon became a mission – to create a modern and highly effective method of developing an individual’s sound and style specifically for the drumset while building a strong practical and musical technique. Although there are similarities and overlap between all applications of drumming – from orchestral, marching, drum line, and more – playing the drumset at any level requires its own separate and distinct set of skills.
Pro Drum Class addresses exactly that! We provide the knowledge, training, and resources to build transferrable musical versatility to all who wish to play drumset in any setting at any level. Individual lessons and group classes are taught by renowned professional players and educators who have spent decades performing, touring, researching, and teaching at all levels – beginning, K-12, collegiate, private, and advanced to develop an innovative approach to playing the drumset.

What educators are saying about Pro Drum Class

Before taking a class, I had very little skill with the drum set and learned that I had been doing some things backwards - including chart interpretation and guidance in my jazz ensemble rehearsals. Not only do I feel confident now sitting in front of a drumset and performing a beat for my students, but I have a better knowledge and rhetoric to teach beginning, intermediate, and advance students how to implement the drum set properly into the ensemble setting.

Marc and Nick's approach to pedagogy and brain function within the performing medium as well as music education in general were also very inspiring and influential.

I highly recommend Pro Drum Class for anyone who is slightly interested.
